Comments
What Instagram and TikTok comment replies do: modes, rules, replies per post, Everything else, Never reply, cost and limits.
On this page
Works on Instagram and TikTok.
What it is
Comments automatically reply to comments on your Instagram and TikTok posts. Each network needs its channel connected, and they are set up separately from the rest of your seller.
Three modes
Off
Not read or answered.
Test
You see what would be answered. Nobody sees it.
Live
Reply on the comment and by DM.
If the panel says “Reconnect your Instagram to turn on live mode” (or your TikTok), Live mode becomes available after you connect that account again.
Which reply goes out
Replies come from your rules and your replies per post, with your own texts. For comments none of them answers (Everything else), you choose whether your seller replies with AI or nobody replies. If you have no rules yet, that choice applies to All comments.
1. Never reply
No reply: it stays with you.
2. Reply per post
Every comment on that post.
3. Rules
By the word they comment.
4. Everything else
Your seller with AI, or nobody.
Rules
A rule pairs the words your customer comments with a reply on the post and, on Instagram, a DM with up to 3 buttons with links. Words work without accents and inside phrases, and each rule applies to all your posts, including future ones. You can have up to 10 rules and pause each one.
What a rule has
The reply on the post takes up to 150 characters and can have 3 versions, alternated so it does not sound repeated. The DM takes up to 900 characters, 640 with buttons, and each button a name of up to 20.
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Words | What your customer comments. Up to 100 per rule, up to 40 characters each. |
| Reply on the post | Everyone sees it. Up to 3 versions that alternate. |
| DM | Only your customer sees it. Instagram only, with up to 3 buttons. |
Replies per post
With Replies per post you pick a post and every comment on it gets your reply, whatever it says, except Never reply words. You can have up to 20 posts per network.
Never reply and tester
In Never reply you add words, like “delay”, so those comments get no reply and stay with you; up to 50. With Test a comment you type one and see which reply would go out and why; it is a simulation nobody sees.
Instagram and TikTok
Instagram and TikTok can share one setup or each network can have its own, with its mode and rules. TikTok has no DM: the reply on the comment is the only one and invites the person to message you.
Comment or DM
Replying in the comment is free; replying by direct message uses 1 conversation from your plan. TikTok does not allow automatic direct messages: there, the reply in the comment invites the person to message you directly.
When there is no reply
Giveaways, spam and comments tagging 2 or more accounts are not answered. The same person gets one reply per day on each post, there is an hourly reply limit, and if their conversation is paused they get no direct message.
With the seller paused
Pausing the seller stops its replies in chats, but not the automatic replies to Instagram and TikTok comments or their direct message. If the seller is paused in that person’s conversation, only the reply to the comment is posted, with no direct message. To stop replying to comments, choose “Off”.
