What it is
The Web chat, if you see it in Channels, is a chat window on your website, answered by the same seller as your other channels. It has no reply deadline, and its conversations count as sessions of your plan.

Replies instantly
Hi! How can I help you?
What products do you have?
How much is shipping?
Where are you located?
Type a message
Where it opens
The chat only opens on the addresses in your list, up to 20. Each one starts with https:// and has no paths, asterisks or IP addresses; the version with www and the one without are different addresses.
Appearance
For the Web chat you choose the greeting (up to 500 characters), up to 5 suggested questions of 100 characters, the color, whether the button sits bottom left or bottom right, and the language: Spanish, Portuguese or English. Changes reach your site in under a minute.
If you add no suggested questions of your own, the Web chat shows three: What products do you have?, How much is shipping? and Where are you located?, in the chat’s language. As soon as you add one of yours, only yours are shown.
Installation
The Web chat, if you see it in Channels, is installed with a code that goes on your site, before the end of the page; the panel has guides for Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Tiendanube and any HTML site. On My yavendió! website it turns on with one click, with nothing to paste.
The Web chat status is Active, Paused, Not installed yet or Installed on X of Y addresses. Each address turns Detected the first time someone opens the chat on that site.
Install code
The code the panel gives you loads the chat from chat.ya.onl:
<script async src="https://chat.ya.onl/v1/loader.js" data-widget="YOUR_KEY" data-lang="en"></script>| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
data-widget |
Your Web chat key. It changes if you rotate the key. |
data-lang |
Chat language: es, pt or en. |
data-position |
Only present as left, when the button sits bottom left. Without it, it sits on the right. |
Optional attributes
The panel’s code carries data-widget and data-lang (and data-position if you chose the left). These are added by hand on the same tag:
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
data-color |
Button color, as #rgb or #rrggbb. The icon takes white or black, whichever contrasts better. |
data-label |
Text beside the icon, up to 40 characters. The button turns from round to a pill. |
data-z-index |
Stacking level of the button and the chat, from 0 to 2147483647 (the maximum, by default). Lower it if your own dialogs should cover the chat. |
Browser console warnings
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
ya-webchat: the chat could not load on this page… |
That site is not in your Addresses. |
missing data-widget on the loader <script>… |
The code is missing its key. |
ignoring data-color / data-z-index… |
The value is not valid and is ignored. |
Sites with a security policy (CSP)
If your site sets its own Content-Security-Policy, add chat.ya.onl to these two directives. No connect-src is needed: the chat talks from inside its own frame.
Content-Security-Policy:
script-src https://chat.ya.onl;
frame-src https://chat.ya.onl;Tiendanube and Shopify send no policy that blocks the chat, and Wix and WordPress send none at all.
Who writes
Whoever writes through the Web chat arrives with no name or phone: your seller asks for the details the order needs. Since the visitor may close the page, the seller answers everything in the same message.
Pause, delete or rotate the key
Pausing the Web chat stops the button opening in under a minute, and it turns back on with one click. Deleting it erases its settings, the installed code stops working and it also leaves My website. Rotating the key stops the installed code working within a minute, until you paste the new one.
