Connect WhatsApp
What you need before connecting your number, what happens in the Meta window, what to do if the connection does not move forward and how to disconnect.
On this page
Before you start
You cannot connect WhatsApp without a phone number: you need the one you already use in your WhatsApp Business app, or a number of yours that does not have WhatsApp yet, such as a new SIM card.
If your number was already connected to yavendió! or to another platform, disconnect it there before you start. Otherwise the connection fails.
Choose how to connect
There are two ways to connect your number: Coexistence and API connection.
In the Meta window
The Meta window may show a Display name only option. Do not choose it: it assigns a generic number that stops working after a few messages.
Some businesses see the Need a hand connecting? card (Beta) with a Talk to Yago button: Yago guides you by voice, step by step, and asks for two permissions, first your microphone and then sharing your screen. If you cannot grant them, you continue in writing and send screenshots or photos. Not every business sees it, and it disappears once WhatsApp is connected.
After connecting
After connecting, activation can take about 15 minutes. You do not need to do anything: it activates on its own.

If something fails
Meta shows my number greyed out when I connect with Coexistence
With Coexistence, a greyed-out number marked as not eligible is Meta’s answer about that number, not a yavendió! setting: retrying or resetting does not change it. The exact cause shows in Meta’s error when the number is typed in with “Enter a new phone number”, for example that it is already shared with another partner. Meanwhile, the number keeps working in the WhatsApp Business app.
Meta says more activity is needed in the app
If Meta says your number does not meet the requirements because more activity is needed in the WhatsApp Business app, your number is new to Meta: what counts is not how old the SIM is, but whether it was ever connected to Meta. Use it for a few days, replying by hand to customers who already know you, and try again. We recommend doing this for a week before turning on the seller: automating a new number all at once raises the risk of a block.
It says my number is linked but Meta has not enabled it yet
If the screen says your number is linked but Meta has not enabled it yet, do not restart the connection: check in Meta’s WhatsApp Manager whether a verification is missing.
I see “Stuck? Reset connection”
Open WhatsApp registration goes back to the Meta window if it was closed. Stuck? Reset connection discards the current registration and starts a new one; if the WhatsApp Business account has cards or payment methods in Meta Business Suite, the connection fails again even after a reset. The panel limits how many times you can reset: once it no longer allows it, finishing the connection is up to the yavendió! team, through Yago.
The registration link has expired
The link to register your WhatsApp lasts 5 days. When it expires, the screen says so and Stuck? Reset connection creates a new one; if the WhatsApp Business account has payment methods, the new link fails too.
My WhatsApp Business account has a card as payment method
If your WhatsApp Business account shows your card as a payment method, it is almost always because you created a WhatsApp ad with that number before connecting it: Meta attached the ad’s card. With that card the connection does not complete, and a reset does not change it. Do not delete anything yourself: tell Yago and the team will guide you to pause the ad, clear the card from the account and turn the ad back on afterwards.
Meta says it could not share the account with partners
If at the end of the Meta window you see that the WhatsApp Business account could not be shared with partners, do not retry or reset the connection: each attempt leaves another half-finished connection and does not change the result. Do not delete anything and tell Yago, with a screenshot of the error and the time of the attempt.
Meta says the number is already linked to another portfolio
If Meta says when you connect that your number is already linked to another business portfolio, or that another app already uses it, it is because a number can only be in one portfolio at a time: it usually happens if you used it before with another platform. It is solved by connecting with that same portfolio, if you have access to it, or by unlinking the number from that portfolio.
Meta says the number is already linked to a Facebook page
If Meta says the phone number is already linked to a Facebook page when you connect it, your number is tied to a page that belongs to another business portfolio. A number can only be in one portfolio, and that link to the page already ties it to that portfolio, even if you never added it there. To fix it, remove the number from that page's linked accounts, or connect it with the same portfolio the page belongs to.
My messages fail because the account is locked
If your messages in Conversations fail with a notice that your WhatsApp Business account is temporarily locked, Meta locked your account: your customers’ messages keep coming in, but Meta rejects what you send from yavendió!, including your seller’s replies. Reconnecting or resetting the connection does not lift it. You request a review from Meta in Business Support Home, and Meta aims to decide within 48 hours, though some reviews take longer.
Disconnect WhatsApp
Disconnect WhatsApp asks for confirmation. After that, your seller stops replying on that number until you connect it again.
Disconnect WhatsApp appears on the card of your connected number. If you do not see it, the panel could not read which provider your number is connected through: tell Yago.
Disconnect WhatsApp turns your number off in yavendió!, but the partner access you granted in Meta stays in your business portfolio: if you want to remove it, you do it there yourself. Only do so if you stop using that number with yavendió!: without that access, your seller cannot reply on that number.
