What your seller answers

On Instagram, your seller replies when a customer sends you a direct message, replies to one of your stories or writes to you from a Facebook or Instagram ad.

Requirements

To connect Instagram you need a Business or Creator account connected to a Facebook Page; personal accounts are not supported. When you connect, Instagram asks for permissions for messages, comments and basic account information.

With the channel connected

With Instagram connected, you keep seeing and answering your conversations in the Instagram app. Meta’s automated replies stay on unless you turn them off, and the customer can get two greetings: Meta’s and your seller’s.

Limits

Instagram does not allow mass messaging: there are no Instagram campaigns, and your seller only replies to customers who wrote to you first.

Connection status

“Your Instagram connection was interrupted” means Meta stopped accepting that account’s credentials: you do not receive or answer Instagram messages until you connect it again.

Comments

Your seller can also reply to comments on your Instagram posts: in the comment, publicly, and by direct message.
