Telegram
How Telegram works through a bot, who can write first and what happens when you disconnect.
One bot per account
Telegram, if you see it in Channels, connects through a bot, never your personal account: you need the bot’s token, which @BotFather gives you. Each yavendió! account connects one bot. If the bot was already in another tool, it stops working there, and a bot connected to another yavendió! account cannot be connected.
What a token looks like
@BotFather
Use this token to access the HTTP API:
1234567890:AAExampleTokenNotRealXyz123
We only use it to connect your bot. Our provider keeps it securely and stops using it when you disconnect.
Who writes first
On Telegram there is no reply deadline, but the bot can never write first: it only answers whoever wrote to it. A customer who never started the bot or blocked it cannot be reached. There are no campaigns or templates on Telegram.
Link and disconnecting
With the bot connected, the panel shows its link to share with your customers. Disconnecting the bot stops its messages reaching yavendió!; our provider stops using the token, and you can connect it again whenever you want.
Messages when connecting
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not a token. Copy the line from step 3. | What was pasted is not shaped like a token. |
| Telegram doesn't recognize the token. Copy it from /mybots in @BotFather. | The token is well formed, but Telegram does not recognize it. |
| This bot is already connected to another Yavendió account. | A bot connects to one yavendió! account only. |
| You already have another bot connected. Disconnect it before connecting a new one. | Each account connects one bot at a time. |
| Telegram didn't respond. Try again in a few minutes. | A temporary failure on Telegram’s side. |
